@braga3dprint: FDM 3D printing is not food safe! 🚫🍪 While PLA and PETG can be considered chemically neutral, there are at least two other issues that make them unsafe for food contact. First, bacteria can proliferate in the tiny gaps between printed layers, making it impossible to clean. Second, brass nozzles can release lead and metal shavings into your prints. The solution? Use food-safe certified epoxy coatings. I can't fathom how people keep selling plain PLA cookie cutters. Bet you'll think twice after watching this video. And for those who say "so what, we take risks every day," I say knowing you're taking a risk is very different from proceeding ignorantly. This is just information. Finally someone posts about this! Tired of people asking for food safe materials while the process is not going to be 🤦🏻
