Everyone thinks that “Functional Strength” is a buzz word when in reality it’s not. Without even knowing it our bodies go through 7 primal functional movement patterns daily. It’s so important for us to strengthen and improve them because it’ll improve our quality of life outside of the gym. This workout is an example of how you can strengthen your movement patterns: 1.) Pushing - I chose Military Press with DB’s 2.) Pulling - I chose Wide-Grip Pull-ups 3.) Squat - I chose Goblet Squats 4.) Lunge - I chose Reverse Lunges 5.) Rotation - I chose Palloff Press, great for improving core strength. 6.) Hinge - I chose Deadlifts it’s also a pulling movement so you get the best of both worlds! 7.) Gait - Not shown , an example of this would be walking or running! If the goal is to increase muscle you should 8-12 reps and rest 60-90 seconds, for 3-5 sets on each workout!
