@chefsarahtodd: Vanakam Chennai! 🌟 What a whirlwind of a trip, but I managed to squeeze in a quick food tour with my dear friend Aruna! 1. Sapthagiri Tiffin: They started on a push cart and saved up and created this bustling venue. Their Nei Podi Dosa, sambar, chutney, and that thatte idly are absolute winners. The Podi masala was pure umami magic. 2. Kappa Chakka Kandhari: This place touched my heart. Chef Ragi is a gem, keeping mothers’ recipes alive with dishes like Kandhari chilli drink, beef masala, mutton sukka, tapioca cutlet with red chilli chutney, raw jackfruit cutlet with beetroot chutney, pineapple & banana pachadi, Ramassery idly, hoppers with stew, tender coconut pudding, and sulaimani tea. It was a moving experience and an absolute must-visit when in Chennai—truly incredible! @kckfoods 3. Chetta Buttermilk: Ever tried a MURUKKU sandwich? It’s like Indian-style loaded nachos.
