I jsut use a regular old butter dish! If you’re worried about it going bad when it’s warmer you can jsut have smaller pieces on there at a time

why don't people just buy a butter dish? you know the ones that are rectangle with a lid that you just leave on your bench?! only time they aren't great is in the dead of summer but you get use out of them for about 10-11 months out of the year otherwise! and so much easier!

as someone who just leaves a stick of butter on the counter in a dish for my ENTIRE life (it doesnt go bad we use it all before it even has a chance and no one had got sick)

a butter bell has a small hole in the bottom to create a suction for the butter... this won't work!

I tried a butter bell and changed the water every day and the butter got moldy. I just leave it in the dish without the water for months with no problems... for me, the water is the problem

maybe try using a short coffee mug. atleast that way there's a handle to hold onto. then can just submerge the rim of the cup in a low dish
