What if the kid is extremely talented in like science, or sport or music. Are the allowed to choose this kind of carriers?

very interesting. if I young girl requested to go to secondary school and pursue a career, would she be allowed or is it a big no no. is there a choice? I'd have loved to miss secondary school 😂

By secondary school you mean when they’re like year 7? Not sure if I’m understanding, I’m American living in the UK so I’m unsure.

I might take mine out at secondary. she's autistic and tbh I think she could get by with a tutor and she could start a business. being an employee is rubbish, I hate it

It’s a legal right to be able to take children out of school. There are hardly any rules to follow for home education just have to prove your doing something educational & this doesn’t mean maths etc

you only need to unregister your child from a school.

Just to add- you don’t have to have a tutor when you deregister your child from school. You do have to provide an education- but that can come in many different ways.

It’s not the same situation. Kinda think not have any eduction whether it’s homeschooling (for a decent amount of time) or going to school is child abuse!

this is why I home ed. thing is we "teach" our children the necessary stuff anyway. cooking, cleaning, gardening etc. schools don't do it. they teach em things U rarely need or "not appropriate"

There is NO legal obligation to send your children to school! When you officially home educate you DO NOT have to follow the national curriculum, you must however give a ‘full time’ education, but again no specific rules around what you need to teach! And you don’t have to have a tutor either. Plenty of resources online. I home Ed all my 5 from 8-18. 2 eldest have just done their gcse and achieved the grades they wanted and needed 🥰 school is a building, education is a journey. Xxx
