@thecutjewellery: In the words of the GIA 💎 (Gemological Institute of America)… “Laboratory-grown diamonds have essentially the same chemical, optical and physical properties and crystal structure as natural diamonds. Like natural diamonds, they are made of tightly-bonded carbon atoms. They respond to light in the same way and are just as hard as natural diamonds. The main differences between laboratory-grown and natural diamonds lie in their origin. Think of it this way: laboratory-grown diamonds are like ice from your refrigerator, while natural diamonds are like ice from a glacier. They are both ice, although their formation stories and the age of each are very different.” #diamonds #fypシ #fyp #labdiamond #diamondeducation #labs #bespokerings
Idk about you guys but I’m not planning on selling my engagement ring- so why do I care about the resale value??

I like the lab grown better. Equally pretty but with no sad drama

A tomato grown in the garden is no less of a tomato than that of one grown in the wild. They are both tomatoes

Lab grown have less imperfections and are hella cheaper. The only reason people like natural is cause they can't get with the times.

So why does the GIA iD100 Testing Machine tell the difference? If they are the same the machine shouldn’t be able to know the difference. Explain that.

Mined diamonds lose value also. You'll never sell for what you paid.

Lab diamonds in the long run will constantly decrease in value as they can be manufactured to meet consumers needs whereas natural diamonds retain value being they are well natural..

They'll charge more for mined but won't buy it back stating "We can't tell if this is mined or manmade"

The fact is that you don’t get much value to resell a natural diamond or a lab diamond. A lab diamond is like a greenhouse tomato it’s still a tomato even if it didn’t come out of the ground 💎💎💎

It’s an attack on big business, oligopolies and traditions/the story about how rare diamonds are. You are 100% correct in your statements. IMHO we should start from the environmental angle

Diamond are not rare either, but a company owns many mines and has a monopoly on them

Ok :
Biggest difference is the value of lab diamonds decreases and mined diamonds increases. They should be way less expensive on the front end
