@pwftraining: Underhand Tricep Pushdowns are Dumb 🗣️🗣️🗣️ I know you’ve heard IFBB pros constantly preach underhand tricep push downs. I’m telling you right now, that’s not what grew their triceps. This is a long head biased push down since our arms are closer to our sides but pronation / supination has no direct impact on what part of the triceps were hitting - even though you may have heard people say “underhand grip hits the medial / lateral head(s) better”. All supination (underhand grip) is doing for you in a tricep push down is making your grip the limiting factor. This is because the load from the cable is now pulling up and out of your hand. This is unnecessary and a pronated (overhand grip) will do us much better. At the end of the day, if you like the movement I’m not gonna stop you from doing it… No one is. idk if unnecessary is the right way to say it. If somebody is working on grip strength it works, but I wouldn't do them primarily or for everything
