SC does NOT represent the amount of liquid in the condenser. It is an indicator of how much heat is being removed from the liquid there, not in how much liquid is there.

so the pressure/ saturation temp is the temp at which the vapor refrigerant begins to condense into a liquid, and that pressure stays the same throughout the rest of the process?

Why do most people teach subcooling as it stacking at the bottom of the coil when there are typically several discharge inlets in the coil that condense at different levels in the coil

Jeff noticed almost every unit says between eight and 12° subcooling and then there’s always the plus -3° so basically if you’re at 10, you’re good on no matter what unit
