In Australia they would have said your name over the PA system multiple times if you have checked in but not boarded. They also announce gate changes.

They did that to my family in Orlando. We had a gate, the big screens had the same gate, the tv at the gate had all our information but getting closer to the boarding time, we were the only ones there

They don't announce gate changes over the PA like that any longer and the flights are so overbooked they don't call your name.

this is why you get the airline app for push notifications - or just check the gate periodically so you don’t have to obsessively refresh the damn wallet

Happened to me coming from Vegas to Louisville. But I also had the airlines app so that really helped because I got a notification

Regardless on the amount of time you have been waiting or not always check on your airline info by refreshing takes a few minutes and save yourself
