They may struggle with attention and reaction times, increasing the risk of collisions and traffic violations. Criminality is another concern linked to ADHD. Impulsivity, poor judgment, and difficulty following rules can lead to antisocial behaviors and run-ins with the law. Studies have shown higher rates of criminal behavior in individuals with untreated ADHD, often beginning in adolescence and extending into adulthood. Addictions are also prevalent among those with ADHD. The disorder's inherent impulsivity and need for stimulation can lead to substance abuse as a form of self-medication. This can result in alcohol or drug dependencies, exacerbating the challenges of managing ADHD. Additionally, there is a notable association between ADHD and seizures.
