@moonlit_kit: Replying to @maxieme0w Preventative care with POTS takes on many forms and it will be slightly different for each person. But at the end of the day, I want everyone to know that you are not selfish, lazy, or dramatic for engaging in prevantative care. You’re being responsible and looking out for your health, safety, and wellbeing and I’m proud of you for that! i talked to my parents about having a mobility aid but they just said that I'm being dramatic/ I'm not trying. Do you have any ideas that may help them understand that it won't hold me back but help?

A little off topic from the video but I’ve been seeing a specialist and they said I was just shy of a pots diagnosis and I’m not sure what to do now. Any advice? Ps- I love your videos❤️

I didn’t think about the pumping I’m going to try that, I like that you are talking about this. I will admittedly say I overdid it a little yesterday and now paying for it today. My wife glares at me

My childhood trauma makes it so hard to do this but I know I need to do it. Thankfully I have a supportive partner who reassures me and helps a lot.

In addition to leg pumping, I also stretch before standing up. I’ve passed out while still sitting in my chair instead of after I stand up :)

If you’re like me and flare after eating highly recommend compression tank tops. I just use like a spanx tank top. Helps so much!

Leg pumping is a great tip! I can’t wear compression bc of MCAS (compression sets off allergic reactions).

I'm going to Walmart tomorrow so I think I'm going to get compression socks and Gatorade to see if it helps. idk if I have pots but it makes sense for my symptoms

I had to leave a job I just got recently because I didn't realize the last time I had covid had made it worse. I've been considering using a cane for balance. I've never fainted but everyone always is concerned I might so I guess I get close occasionally

I know this is a dumb question, but how do you know when you need a mobility aid? I have fallen quite a few times sometimes I have trouble walking but a lot of times I don’t.
