@martinaflorstudio: Are those the voices in your head? Or the people around you? Or both? This week, I've been talking a lot about getting more comfortable stepping out of our comfort zones. But today, I want to talk a bit about the self-sabotage we can inflict on ourselves or let others inflict on us. Finally daring to work in something you love can be challenging, filled with doubts, sometimes regrets, and many fears. But at the end of the day, going to bed knowing that what sustains you is something you adore doing is priceless. When I got my first job (which wasn't bad at all), I wasn't happy. It didn't fulfill me, and I couldn't believe that was all there was for me in this world. There had to be something more. That's why I took the leap and went for what I truly love: lettering art. I want to encourage you to do the same, to decide for yourself and take that risk to pursue what you love. Stop self-sabotaging and remember that this is YOUR life, no one else's. If following your dreams makes others uncomfortable, I'm sorry. It has nothing to do with them and everything to do with you.
