Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese Sandwich 📕Recipe here ❂ Ingredients: 3 jalapeños, halved and seeded 5 slices of bacon 1 bunch green onions, chopped 4 oz (about 1/2 cup) cream cheese, softened 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided) 1/3 mozzarella cheese 2 slices of bread 2 tbsp butter Salt and pepper to taste ❂ Cooking Process: Roast Jalapeños and Bacon: - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). - Place the jalapeño halves on a baking sheet. - Arrange the bacon slices next to the jalapeños on the same baking sheet. - Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the jalapeños are tender and slightly charred, and the bacon is crispy. - Remove from the oven, let cool, then chop the roasted jalapeños and crispy bacon into small pieces. Prepare the Filling: - In a bowl, combine the chopped green onions, roasted jalapeños, crispy bacon, softened cream cheese, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. - Mix well and season with salt/pepper to taste. Assemble the Sandwich: - Spread the butter only one side of bread slice. - Take the other side of one bread slice and spread the cream cheese filling evenly over it. - Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side up. Grill the Sandwich: - Heat a skillet over low heat. - Place the sandwich in the skillet, butter side down first.
