fun fact! our alphabet traces it's roots to the Phoenician alphabet. This is exactly how they did it. The letters were shaped and named for a word with the letter sound.

My kid will not say k/c/g/p all those back throat letters. Everything is frontal and bringing awareness to the back is SO SO HARD, he just won’t grasp it

This is basically how I taught myself Braille in 6th grade. Mnemonic techniques work so well so long as kids also learn phonics attached to the alphabet they’re learning
