Too bad you can’t determine whether or not your float is stuck by that… it could be a step in determining that though I suppose

That’s too high. 3-4mm below the gasket line. Also, if it’s low it’ll run lean, run it high and it’ll run rich. This isn’t a way to fix a running issue. Think of what’s happening inside - it’s like a washing machine.

with this technique the real level is always a bit above taking into consideration the amount of fluid that flows into the rubber tube😉😉
