Repost @taqdeerlife To decorate the house for Ramadan or not…that is the question. And it seems to be a question every year, each to their own as some might say. 😉 Sometimes it’s worth looking at these topics through the eyes of a child. There are various ways to instil the love of faith and Allah in children, and decorating our homes for Ramadan can be one such way. For teenagers, carrying multiple identities can be challenging and so it’s important parents provide opportunities to enhance their child’s Muslim identity where possible. Parents are the gateway to their children’s connection with Allah. From a #c#childdevelopmentiew, decorating homes is a co-created parent-child task that also touches on a form of play. This supports parent-child attachment and connection, which in turn cultivates a connection with God.    Having observed Ramadan in Qatar for five years, if there’s one aspect I strongly recall with the month, it would be the outdoor decorations that filled public spaces with light and sparkle. Even if homes weren’t decorated, just the general buzz of the guest’s arrival cultivated joy and the spirit of Ramadan. Muslim children and teenagers living in the West have no experience of this, though I am over the moon to see this year’s Ramadan installation at #p#piccadillyn London. 🇬🇧    Most importantly, Islamic Scholars like @imamomarsuleiman @muftimenkofficial and Sheikh Dr @saalim.alazhari have given the thumbs up.    🌙✨ So tell me, who’s decorating their homes for Ramadan?   #r#Ramadan2023r#ramadanvibesf#faithinspiredr#ramadaniscomingc#childdevelopmentspecialist#m#muslimmentalhealthr#ramadanprepf#faithandmentalhealths#spiritualityandmentalhealthm#mentalhealthadvocatesm#muslimmentalhealthadvocatei#instamuslimahp#psychologytodayt#therapistsconnectp#psychospiritualr#ramadandecorr#ramadandecorationlondon
