The Canon R8 takes really good video, and photos I’ve heard. It came out like last year too. So it has the latest and greatest autofocus tracking ai. Found on higher end cameras.

Get a Sony A6700 and a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 lens. Great combo. Does a great job. A lot cheaper than the fullframe cameras.

A7C has some good deals now that the A7C2 is out. A lot smaller then the A7iii and can use the price gap up to the $2k mark to get a DJI RS3 Mini Creator Combo for smoother video and better audio.

Full frame can be really clunky. Sony ZV-E10 with a good APS-C lens would be good for travel / to start.

For video I got a Dji osmo pocket 3 . I got some lenses as well . I shoot in 4k in Dlog mode and post colour grade In premiere pro . You can achieve the same for half the price .

If you are filming video for your travel, having to carry an heavy camera and lens is not fun especially you need a gimbo to hold it steady. Get a DJI handheld super light camera instead

That Sony is a solid camera, the lens isn’t fantastic though, but for what you want to shoot, you’ll definitely want a zoom lens. Try the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art.

The lens is more important than the camera imo. Get a decent camera and high quality lenses. A variable zoom lens is great for starting out because you aren’t just subjected to the one fixed zoom of say 25mm or 50mm if you can’t afford multiples lenses right now.

Ever think about shooting tiktoks on a high quality cam? It’s definitely more time and energy but I like to mix it in sometimes with my R5.
