Mary Greenfern :
You can also get it back. As a mum who suffered from postpartum depression and struggled to bond. You can absolutely get it back.

I genuinely despise hugging my mum and did with my dad before he passed too… my son LOVES hugging/cuddling me. That’s how I know I’m doing something right. 🫶🏻

A sign of good attachment is that the child is really relaxed when they see you. They knew you’d come back

My 5mo old doesn’t make the hands up yet, but looks at me, and starts to smile and kick. Does that sound normal? The smile sometimes takes like 10 seconds or me talking to her first

18 month twin dad here and I’ve found the best thing I can do day to day is pick up my babies when they cry/ demand without hesitation. sounds easy but does test you after the 50th time that day.

My 14 year old still throws his arms in the air when he sees me 🥰 and he climbs on the couch and half sits in my lap to hug me in the mornings 🥰

So - when my 2‘year old Smiles, says „Hi Mom“ and keeps on playing he‘s not secure? I‘m just confused, honestly. I feel my kid is securely attached but he loves kindergarten so he does not necessarily come Running.
