Good idea! I was afraid you were going to say freeze them. I’ll never forget the year my mom froze onions. I remember everything in the freezer tasting like onions! 🤢 Totally ruined the thin mint cookies that were in the freezer. 😂

I chop and freeze them. Then when I need them I just pull them out of the freezer ready to go.

Finely chop them and put them in an empty, dry water bottle. Put in the freezer. Boom! Instant use for recipes all summer!

You can also chop finely and store in clean water bottle and freeze. They don't clump, you can shake them out in soups, stews, for fresh onions that you're warming up. Use on baked potatoes too!
