my 2 kids are unschooled and I get asked about diplomas, my answer is, I print it out. lol people are astonished. yup, that's all i need to do. lol

I got kicked out of high school two weeks before graduation. I was only half a credit behind! the counselor I had was a joke at the time

Yes to a lot you said. If you continue to promote this kind rhetoric these kids wouldn’t have a chance. The goal is to mentor and to encourage students to thier full potential in continuing education.

soooo...basically a continuation course? Continuation schools give huge packets of "work" for credits. I got 15 credits in a semester in one.

As a licensed educator in 2 areas, I wouldn’t even teach my own kids. What do I know about algebra or chemistry? Nothing. Just because I am teacher does not make me competent in those areas.

So short version, moved from OH to NV. My child was a bit behind because of the move and because of learning difficulties. This definitely happens because she not only had computer classes
