see, everyone hating on eddie redmayne’s emcee but no one is saying anything about laytons? i love layton for other roles but personally feel this doesn’t feel as unsettling as it should

He’s more carnival than unsettling which is definitely an interesting portrayal on Emcee, not my fav tho

i feel like his portrayal is very interesting however i often find myself losing him with the other performers instead of being this looming unsettling force

He has Laytonised the role and brought a fresh new take on it. And I for one love it. He is amazing .💖

to be fair this preformance is outside with people who aren’t at the real show. I’m assuming he changed his portrayal for that reason

I kinda get the idea that Laytons isn’t all that unsettling but so far it’s my favourite, I think his movements are very snake like and work well to be low key ‘bad’

a lot of people seem to not like this but I enjoy it, if find it very fun and it kind of reminds me of the movie version of the emcee where he has a very silly, fun stage presence
