Omg yes I have my appointment tomorrow with baby and I don’t feel good to go out yet I don’t understand how they want us to do that after a major surgery

I work at a pediatric office and I always tell mine to call me when they pull up and I go grab the babies and tote all the things in

I had a home visit after c-section for each of my kiddos. I definitely appreciated it!

All I’m saying is I didn’t have a c-section but I have nothing but respect for those who go through literal surgery and are still expected to be up and doing all the things!

In Australia, a Midwife comes and checks the baby as much as needed for the first few weeks after Birth, which is completely free. We aren’t allowed to drive for six weeks post C-section.

In the UK we’re not allowed to drive for 6 weeks after a c section! And you’re told not to lift anything heavier than a full kettle of water. Bless you!

I was told not to drive for 6 weeks after a c-section. This can cause major post op complications

I didn’t go to my babies first appt after c section and the pediatrician asked dad to FaceTime me so i didn’t miss anything & educated him on PPD in case i was suffering in silence.

The way the hospital pediatrician wanted us to immediately drive an hour back the day after we got home at 9pm and take our 2 day old to their immediate care for a jaundice check. I said absolutely

Def agree w the at home visits… when I had my second in Minnesota in March cold winter I was surprised they did do the at home visit instead of having us coming in even though I lived 5min car ride!

Those visits always seem cruel. It doesn’t take away one of the pediatrician visits but we are always offered a VNA visit in the first week for mom and baby

I had an emergency csection and baby was in the NICU for 6 days and the day after we finally got home we had to go to the ped and wait over an hr in the waiting room. 😭

I had my son in September of 2020, and his first appointment was 6 days PP and I was in so much pain. I couldn’t lift anything or drive for 6 weeks. They should really make that first appointment FREE
