To avoid that you can put the paint in a plastic bag, put it inside and close it with the edge of the bag outside the container and then just throw away the bag.

I leave mine white like when I bought it with gasoline and a paintbrush . Remove the gaskets before the gas

Can you put the sprayer back on and spray the dawn through the nozzle also?

The front on that sprayer should also twist off for easy cleanup so when you tilt it back painting water don’t go into the motor.

This is really helpful bc I don’t want to buy it then damage it so much I can’t use it just bc I don’t know how to maintain it. And I don’t want to pour the run off water in a dangerous way.
