Stop focusing so much on the positive and focus more on the negative There are two important parts to an exercise the concentric or positive in this exercise it's when you pull the bar down. When you let the bar go up its the negative or eccentric! Be careful though For a squat it is the opposite on the way down is the negative or eccentric and on the way up is concentric or positive To build lean muscle we need to ear down some muscle fibers! (muscle) The negative has been shown to have a huge impact on muscle growth overall! So many of you are flinging the weight around on the way up! So it should look something like this Pulldown as fast as you can then release it up by counting to 1-2 Mississippi And feel that deep stretch!
