This is the hike👇 This hike was on my bucket list for sooo long and it totally lived up to the hype 🥹😍 Before you go though, it’s super important to follow the Leave No Trace Principles. Always stay on the trail, respect wildlife by not getting too close and make sure you are prepared before doing this hike. This is the Skyline Loop trail at Mount Rainier National Park 🏔️ 🥾 Distance: ~5.5 miles loop ⬆️ Elevation gain: ~1,700–1,800 ft 🏔️ Difficulty: Moderate-Hard 🚗 Location: Paradise region; trailhead at Jackson Visitor Center (south side of Mount Rainier). No timed entry required here. 🅿️ Parking: Paradise lot (Visitor Center / Paradise Inn). It fills fast on summer days, so arrive early or plan for late afternoon. You’ll need either the America the Beautiful Pass or pay $35 per vehicle for a 7-day pass. This is a very popular trail and I was worried that the crowds would be bad…BUT, we decided to do this hike in the middle of the week and we got here in the afternoon to do the hike for sunset. This worked out really well and we actually had most of the trail to ourselves. 🙌 Not only do you have the most beautiful views of Mount Rainier, but the surrounding views are equally as pretty 😍 Plus in late August, the wild flowers are blooming everywhere and we lucked out with seeing so much wildlife 🦌🌸🌼 Have you done this hike before??
