@leila.the.pa: Becoming a MD/DO is an incredibly difficult yet rewarding and crucial position…but it’s just not for everyone! I have zero regrets becoming a PA and feel like it was the perfect fit for me. ☺️ #physicianassistant #physicianassociate #medicine #physician #nurse #premed #nursepractitioner #medstudentlife
i’ve been stuck between PA and med school and i still cannot choose 😭

Why did you go into PA and not nurse practitioner? I’m having a tough time choosing so I would love to hear your thoughts

Many doctors say that they wish they did PA, many PAs wish they did MD. It’s all about knowing who you are and what your priorities are. There are pros and cons to both.

I love that medicine makes you the expert in whatever field you choose, all about priorities. I was actually a PA to MD switch lol!

Study medicine is challenging. You need to take multiple boards plus move due to the match

Had multiple Drs tell me they should’ve done PA. Had one that was getting a degree in something else and changing careers paths

This is so refreshing. So many people who choose “mid-level” tend to equate themselves to doctors instead of being proud of what their career brings to the healthcare team. Absolutely love this take

Similar story here! I even took the MCAT & filled out my app. Then realized the journey wasn’t for me & I could do what I wanted as a PA. I applaud physicians for their sacrifice & commitment!!!!

I worked as a nanny for many doctors and the amount of stress and overworking I saw made my decision easy. I want free time :) I have SO much respect for physicians, our healthcare systems is horrible

Could you make a video on your path with going with pa in your undergrad. Like what classes you took and if you did any internships for pa?
