@drmariahwhite: here is just one option 🔥 Being a Nurse Practitioner was the dream and the goal. Yes I intentionally switched from Pre-Med to Nursing and here is why: When I was a freshman in college my boyfriend at the time had a scary rushed procedure that required a hospital stay. I remember the surgeon, the nurse, AND the NP. She let me pick her brain and ask all the questions and I thought — THAT! 🔥 I’ll never forget the impact she made on me. And for the last (going on decade) in this profession I am amazed by the ability to move, flow, find your thing, and how passionate one can be about it all. I’ve done a lot in my career and have landed on my dream position : between my team, my patients, my time flexibility, my compensation I have no complaints. (Well some but hospitals are hospitals) lol But I share all of this because so many nurses have given up hope, nurses are feeling tired and burn out and feeling like why go back to school, or that the compensation isn’t there… So I want to be here to remind you that you can feel SO full filled at your job, not burnt out or exhausted, and paid very well. 🤍 It will take time, like anything! But there is a reason US Best News has ranked us #1 for like six years in a row! 🔥🔥🔥 So when people say: why are you still working when you run a business— because I want to. I love what I do.
