@pov_husband: The best daekdoritang recipe we tried (seriously). It also had just the right amount of heat. I bought whole chicken already cut up from Hmart but it will work with just legs or leg & thigh. - 3lbs of chicken - Boil in water for 5min - Wash in cold running water - 1/2 cup of soy sauce - 1/2 cup mirin - 5 tbsp gochugaru - 2 tbsp sugar - 3 tbsp minced garlic - 1 tbsp gochujang - Mix - Add 2-3 medium potatoes chopped - Add 2 cups of water and boil on med/high heat for 15mins - Add half an onion and boil for 5mins - Add korean chili peppers and large green onions - Boil for another 5mins and serve
