This is literally what our platform is all about. God saved the trajectory of our lives well over a decade ago. I was 21 years old when God saved my life and for Efrain he was 15. Saying yes to His call on our lives was the single greatest thing we ever did, but it was also the hardest thing. We have had so many ups and downs in life. This past weekend I heard a message preached at church that really hit home for me. The message was about the life of Joseph (Old testament) and how EVEN when he obeyed God and did the right thing, he was thrown into prison! This past year, obeying God seem to have amounted to nothing but heartache after heartache, and loss after loss. There were times we even felt punished and forgotten. The pastor said, sometimes we’re going through a rough time, not because we did something wrong but because we did something right. Fighting off our worldly desires to pursue Godly ones isn’t for the weak. Man how many of us have done the right thing and seemed to have gotten punished for it? I have news, God molds our character through tough times. Joseph had a big shoes to fill in Egypt and God had to train him through his pain and challenges. I understand that we too have big shoes to fill, and we must be obedient, go through the refining fire in order to be ready for what is to come. I tell you one thing, it’s been over a decade that we have both been saved by grace, and the enemy didn’t like one bit of that. We have broken so many generational curses, and cycles. Sometimes I tend to get impatient with us as we navigate through our FIRST generation marriage, forgetting that we weren’t equipped for a such a union by our parents and previous generations. We know and understand that because of this, we have to work twice as hard. As for our children, we strive everyday to make sure they don’t have to start from scratch. We will never be perfect. Our prayer is to equip them as best as we can, by staying in God’s presence and letting Him to continue to lead the way. #toddlers #toddlersoftiktok #toddlermom #toddlerlife #parenting
