I went yesterday and put on like those. “water proof shorts” like athletic shorts and a workout tank because they dry easily but I’m covered to carry kids

I always wore something. I didn’t mind getting wet in shorts and a tank top. Take an extra towel so you can dry yourself off. I put a bathing suit on if I’m required to submerge myself in the pool

Depends on the age of your child. If you will need to intervene for safety then wear swimsuit and cover up. If child can independently play and you just supervise you can wear shorts and tank top
