@kitchen_diaries_by_zubda: Mash ki Daal (Urad Daal) Ingredients: - 1 & a half cup urad daal - 3 cups water - 1 cinnamon stick - 1 tsp cloves - 1 tsp black peppercorns - Salt to taste - 1 tsp chilli flakes - 1/4 cup ghee - 1 medium onion, sliced - 1 tbsp thinly sliced cloves - 1 tbsp julienne cut ginger - 1 tsp cumin seeds - 3/4 dried red chillies - Curry leaves - Green chillies - Chopped coriander for garnish Instructions: 1. Wash and soak the urad daal in water for at least an hour. 2. In a pan, add the soaked daal, 3 cups of water, cinnamon stick, cloves, black peppercorns, salt, and chilli flakes. Boil until the water dries up and the daal is cooked through. 3. In a separate pan, melt ghee and add sliced onion. Cook until the edges are slightly browned. 4. Add thinly sliced cloves and julienne cut ginger. Once browned, add cumin seeds and dried red chillies. 5. Turn off the heat and add curry leaves and green chillies. 6. Pour the tarka over the cooked daal and garnish with chopped coriander. 7. Mix well and serve hot. Enjoy your tarka mash ki daal!
