@out_inthefield: Our event at Sea to Sky Farm in Bonny Doon highlighted the strength of community and the values of organic farming. Chris, a fourth-generation farmer and the first woman in her family to farm organically, welcomed us as family. Her enthusiasm was clear as she shared stories and showed us her sweet potato starts, quickly endearing herself to everyone. The dinner celebrated the endless talents of chef Jessica Yarr and her all-female crew. They crafted art with each course, and infused an abundance of flavor into the plant-focused menu — a highlight of which was the salad featuring Chris’s lettuce. You could hear the compliments to the chef echoing down the table as Jessica and her team join us for the final chef walk.
