Surprise Homecoming: Discovering a Hatch of Praying Mantises! Welcome back to our channel where today's homecoming brings a delightful surprise! Join me as I return from a trip to find not just my usual quiet home, but a bustling mini ecosystem thriving within! Description: After being away for a few days, my first task was to check on the little critters around the house. While the fish tank showed some cloudiness, it was the praying mantis enclosure that stole the show. To my amazement, I discovered that the baby praying mantises had hatched, turning the box into a lively nursery. This female mantis has proven to be incredibly fertile, having produced not one, but three egg cases recently. Upon closer inspection, it appears that about 100 tiny mantises emerged from the first egg case alone, with dozens more waiting to make their debut. Since I hadn’t prepared any fruit flies for them, I placed these newborns on an orange tree in my garden to fend for themselves by hunting aphids and other small insects. Meanwhile, our mother mantis wasn't left out as she feasted on some mealworms, and by the looks of it, she might be preparing for another round of eggs.
