@attaboy_arthur: Poor pup had an ouchie that needed to be treated under sedation— but greyhounds can be difficult to safely anesthetize & benefit from a vet with breed expertise. We took a little roadtrip to see a former track vet in a nearby state (at an old breeding kennel that’s now used to board retired racers for an adoption group)! I was so impressed with how cozy and loving the care was— and the level of expertise in greyhound pharmacology was incredible. They figured out a way to get Arthur under twilight sedation (lower risk than full anesthesia) while accommodating his intense fear of needles.
