@ash.cooks.dinner: Beautiful beef curry! 1.5 kg beef chuck 2 red onions sliced 2 Tb garlic 1 Tb ginger Handful of curry leaves 1 Tb ground coriander 1 Heaped Tb garam masala 1/2 Tb cumin seeds 1/2 Tb turmeric 1/2 tsp chilli powder (optional amount) 1 cinnamon stick 5 cardamom pods 1 can tomatoes 200ml water Salt and pepper Season the beef with salt and pepper and brown off. Remove and set aside. Cook the onions down for 20 mins. Add the ginger, garlic, curry leaves and cook off for a couple of minutes. Add the tomatoes and water and simmer very low for several hours.
