@sam_awasthi: Mistakes I made 👇🏼 🗓️ I visited during Eid which meant everything was closed 🇲🇾 Malaysia is a Muslim country. So respect the culture and wear covered clothing. Even though tourists wear shorts and tops in Kuala Lumpur, avoid wearing them in places of worship like Mosques and Batu Caves. 🌈 If you’re a queer person like me, be wary. I was travelling with my family but I wouldn’t recommend any form of PDA if traveling with your partner. 🥗 Vegetarian and vegan food in Malaysia is hard to come by. I had to survive on Indian food Chain- Saravana Bhavan and 7-Eleven. ☀️ Kuala Lumpur gets really hot in summers. Wear cotton clothes, sunscreen and ALWAYS carry water with you. I couldn’t find any refill stations. 🚕 Use ride-hailing apps like Grab for transportation. It’s convenient and often cheaper than traditional taxis. 💸 Always carry some cash. Many small vendors and markets do not accept cards. 📶 Consider getting a local SIM card for reliable internet access and making calls (you’ll need this) especially if you need navigation help. 🛑 Be cautious when crossing streets. Traffic in Malaysia can be hectic, and pedestrian crossings are not always respected. #malaysia #kualalumpur #malaysiatrending #malaysiatrulyasia #foryou #fyp #foryoupage #travel #traveltiktok #travellife
