the reason people were thinking maybe it was taking on water is that this is the safe move if it is. Maybe not in a busy area but beaching it would save the boat and crew.

Not knowing about boats is when you don't argue with the people guessing. BUT YES if you are taking on water. You try to beach it to try and save it.So YES that's why most people guessed that 1st. I own a 55ft sport fish looks just like that one. If I'm taking on water and more then likely 99% of other boaters would beach it unless they just want an ins claim. It was probably boaters that said that.
