@iikamarion: Hi guys, I've realised that there isn't much information on how to get to kanchanaburi and then back to bkk by public transport. So here it is. Me and my partner really wanted to go to Safari Park @ Kanchanaburi but we didn't want to pay for a private driver. After doing extensive research we found out that there's a train to Kanchanaburi at 7AM & 1:30PM. From our accommodation we took a bike ride to Thon Buri Station and purchased train tickets on the spot. (There is no need to reserve tickets online!) Each person cost about 100baht ($3~ ish SGD) and here is only 1 class seating available (free seating). Do note that it is a fairly old train with no air conditioning. Pretty sure the train is older than me too. So if you can't handle it I would suggest to take a mini van or have your own private driver. Also, please have your tickets at all time as they will check your train ticket. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the ride. 1. it was very windy as the windows are open and 2. the scenery✨😫 When we got to Kanchanaburi station. we took a tuktuk. long story short we bargained for 600 baht ($22~SGD) to safari park (approx. 30mins away) and to the bus terminal. But because our driver was so nice he brought us to River Kwai Bridge as well! (about 5-10mins away from the bus terminal) Fun Fact: You can see the temple & buddha from 'How to Make Millions before Grandma Dies' at River Kwai Bridge. (pic on last slide) (Sadly we didn't have a chance to go.) Now the million dollar question how to go back to bkk? There's not many information out there but for us we took a bus back which is also a minivan. If i'm not mistaken it comes every 15 mins. Purchase bus tickets about 130baht ($4~$5 SGD) on the spot as well. They will ask you which station that you want to drop off just say Mochit (it's near chatuchak market compared to the other bus terminal.) We took it at 5:30pm and it was quite crowded as there were many students. But don't worry you'll still get a seat to bkk. We reached at about 8:30 plus I think. I forgot to mentioned that it's a mini van 🚐. 
Basically that's it. Total damage is less than $10 SGD from bkk to kanchanaburi and back to bkk. There is no need to book a private driver for a day! #Lemon8 #fyp #bangkok #safariparkkanchanaburi #kanchanaburi #bangkoktokanchanaburi
