I work in property management, if they won’t keep you at your current rate ask them to update something in your unit for the increase. Especially if they are renovating units in the complex already🤗

We don’t do negotiations at my property. We extend offers 90 days in advance so that people can choose to stay or go 🤷🏽♀️

I live in a townhome and they tried to raise ours by $200. We talked to them and was able to bring it down $100. Just sometimes being nice and respectful when asking can help

In Texas, regardless the property they have to follow the TAA and if they try to raise rent when u renew you can ask once to keep it for another year.

I did this for 10 years straight and the PM loved me and always gave me the cheapest she could. My rate would only raise by $75-$150 per year.
