@the360mama: C-section Birth Language around c-section birth can have a huge impact in how parents feel about their experience. As medical professionals and non- professionals we should be better informed about c-section birth and be mindful of the language we’re using before and after birth to support and empower the mother. There is nothing easy about caesarean birth, whether elective or emergency and requires significant amounts of short and long-term healing and recovery. Many parents will experience some trauma or negative feelings surrounding a c-section birth. Long term issues such as pain, sensitivity, not being able to look at or touch the scar, pelvic floor issues and painful s£x, secondary fertiility issues can all be associated with the scar following a c-section. I had a choice of going natural. But due to rheumatoid arthritis my doctors insisted I take c-section of the risk of my pelvic bones not going back together and me becoming more disabled than I am 😅

I’ve had a vaginal birth and a planned c section and it is NOT the easy way out 😅 First few days of recovery are so difficult! And the surgery process can be scary! All birthing mamas are warriors!
