I received 5 days of bereavement when my grandmother, who raised me, passed away. Every frantic text started with, "I'm so sorry, but..." I'm going to start my resignation letter the same way.

Dad died during Covid. Came in the next day was asked to. Same manager during funeral called 8 times. I was dumb and young thought it was normal.

Similar situation, mom was in physical rehab and our director forced my manager to call me while I was out on leave to change my OOO because said director didn’t like it 🙄
