True ..but people lived much more modestly then. Houses were small. Today, people’s basic needs aren’t that basic. Lots of frills that make monthly budget huge.

To give some perspective my mom in the late 80’s/early 90’s was making $15hr and in a union 40yrs later we barely make $15 because no body wants to pay a fair wage.
