Research has been, and will be clear on the subject of carbs/sugar and weight loss: * Arizona State University found no difference in weight or fat loss between people consuming 5 and 40 percent of their calories from carbohydrate for 10 weeks. * The Medical College of Wisconsin found no difference in weight or fat loss between people consuming 4 and 30 percent of their calories from carbohydrate for six weeks. * The Harvard School of Public Health found no difference in weight loss between people consuming 65, 45, and 35 percent of their calories from carbohydrate for two years. * Stanford School of Medicine found no difference in weight or fat loss between people who consumed 50 and 25 percent of their calories from carbohydrate for one year. * Duke University found no difference in weight or fat loss between people consuming 4 and 43 percent of their calories from sugar for six weeks. * Queen Margaret University College found no difference in weight loss between people consuming 5 and 10 percent of their calories from sugar for eight weeks. Carbs and sugar are not the reason you’re overweight. Carbs and sugar are not the reason you can’t lose weight. Those things happen from overconsumption of calories as a whole, period.
