I got a trick I do as a type 2 diabetic. I keep boiled eggs in the fridge, and I eat it before things I shouldn’t eat, like a slice of cake or a cupcake. It really do prevent spikes.

FAN THEORY :
Eat mostly fiber first (veggies), THEN protein and fats, THEN go to your carbs/sugar (nectarine here) last. That will give you even better results by eating in that order.

Question: does it matter by how much it goes up, you are still consuming the same amount of sugar in the nectarine with or without the eggs.

Can you say more about how you measure what the spike is? Since it’s normal for the line to have peaks and valleys, how do you know which valley to start measuring the spike from? Is it based on time?

You should even try this two ways - eggs followed by nectarine, and next time nectarine followed by eggs. See if that makes a difference.

Im interested to see how physical activity shortly after would play a role. I’ve read that 20 min walking has improvements of insulin levels
