It's difficult enough to show people who we really are—our fears, dreams, and scars, but it becomes even harder when they already have a completely different picture of us in their heads before we even said hello. Pretty messed up is what it is, but I learned that it's how the world operates. People are like that, and I'm no exception. I guess I just learned to make sure that when people knock on my door, I take the time to listen to their stories first. I ignore the picture of them that my mind paints at first glance and instead show them my colors. I learned that it's how you meet the best people for you, by taking the time to see which ones are fake and which ones are true. ✨️
