When my son got married. Everyone came to the table and told them what each person could contribute. They then had a budget and we went from there. This did not include the bridal shower or rehearsal

We were blessed enough to be able to pay for every single thing. Some parents give the couple a lump sum & tell them anything over their responsible for. As parents it’s what you’re comfortable with

Were you happy with the venue? If you’re comfortable, please share. Coming from a north Indy mom😉

Numbers generate costs! If they wouldn’t put them on their Christmas card list, they don’t need to be invited and it’s not an automatic plus one! Definitely 💯read the contract!

Did you find that the grooms parents helped out more than what is traditional ie rehearsal dinner and alcohol or did you fund more because you are the parents of the bride? I’m seeing a mix of both

Great tips! Just had eldest daughter’s wedding last May. It was AMAZING, but everything was a la carte. Daughter #2 is getting married next year and we choose all inclusive in Lake Tahoe.

Ok. I need to know how much you gave to your daughter’s wedding? Did you pay all of it?

Almost everything where we live in Northeast GA is a la carte for venue, caterer, decorations, liquor etc. Adds up quickly especially when u add in vendors. I wish we investigated all-inclusives more

I have heard most couples these days pay for their own wedding. Your daughters are lucky.
