My mom is like this. I'm a much better cook and she hates it. She can make like 3 things well and that's all we ate growing up. She can't stand I taught myself and am better than her. It's jealousy.

If my kids want to cook...I go to get the ingredients!!! All 3 kids LOVE spicy so they make my plate before they turn it up 😂

My mom was strangely not a mayo mom, but her mom and every one of her 7 siblings were…once I stoooed cooking and planned pharmaceutical meetings they all thought I was “smarter” than I was before…😖

have the same issue with my mom, I'm a trained chef, everything I make is too spicy or not spicy enough or too raw (even vegetables) or over cooked the only thing my mom use is a little salt sometimes nutmeg and a lot of garlic powder

My 13 yo can cook an entire meal and WE LOVE IT! she is so talented! She lets us taste test and asks us if it anything before serving. I always appreciate the extra help when she chooses to help cook
