Here in the states we also have informed consent clinics with RNs(registered nurses) typically providing that service. My GP provides informed consent care as something that she specializes in.

In Aus I saw my GP (primary care) who wrote an endocrinologist referral and ordered initial bloodwork. I left my endo appointment with scripts. Some GPs will prescribe and manage without an endo.

I started with a primary care doctor for hormone treatment. You don’t need mental health therapy to get hormones in WA state.

I'm intersex and Transgender..I initially saw a GP because I was in peri-menopause..then endocrinologist..then a psychiatrist for the letters for FFS and GCS. I never had therapy.
