Nail tech here - Base coat has a sticky inhibition layer, either top then cure a layer of no wipe top coat over or wipe with isopropyl alcohol not acetone! The top coat will be shiny and expel fluff

Definitely be carful touching the builder gel. I developed a severe allergy after 12 months of using it. It’s a life changing allergy. Any contact in its wet form is bad.

I like to put 2 layers of UV top coat on on them they last a long time and looks like you've just been to a nail salon and got them done but this is also a great idea

i do the same but instead of builder gel i put my glue in the tip of the nail & dip it in clear acrylic. mine last 3+ weeks

It’s call the inhibition layer. It’s left behind so gel polish or top coat can stick to it and not slide off before curing.
