@rami_astro: I love this nebula 😭 The Ring Nebula (M57) or NGC 6720, is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Lyra. It was discovered by Antoine Darquier de Pellepoix in 1779 and later cataloged by Charles Messier. The nebula is approximately 2,300 light-years away from Earth and is about 7,000 years old. It features a distinctive ring-like shape, which is the result of a dying star shedding its outer layers of gas. The central star, now a white dwarf, illuminates these gases, causing the nebula to glow. The Ring Nebula can be observed with small telescopes and appears as a small, circular, smoke-ring-like structure in the night sky. Camera: ZWO ASI2600MC Duo APS-C Cooled Color Astronomy Camera Telescope: Celestron 11” EDGE HD Total integration time: 2 hours. #RingNebula #M57 #Messier57 #NGC6720 #PlanetaryNebula #Astronomy #Astrophotography #Space #Cosmos #DeepSky #Stargazing #Lyra #Nebula #SpaceExploration #StarGazing #AstronomyLovers #Telescope #Universe #Celestial #NightSky

question, why does planets in our solar system look blurry af in the telescope but a nebula that is way further look so clear

Surely the fact you can track a star with a telescope and see the rotation of the earth prove it’s not flat?

Isn’t it spelled Nebulae I think, that how I spelled it in school, Nubulae is a red giant stars expel their outermost layers as they run out of helium fuel, becoming hot, dense white dwarf stars,
